The Wyatt Sicks finally made their WWE debut on the June 17th edition of Monday Night RAW, shocking the WWE Universe in a huge way. While many love the supernatural nature of the faction, GUNTHER isn’t one of them as he recently admitted the faction is not his faster.
Bo Dallas, Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, and Erick Rowan wreaked havoc during their debut by attacking multiple individuals, including Chad Gable. Afterwards, they focused on developing Bo Dallas’ character as he interacted with Uncle Howdy in VHS tapes.
While speaking during his appearance on Gorilla Position, Gunther was asked about the Wyatt Sick6 faction. He expressed that he isn’t particularly fond of the supernatural genre, whether in wrestling, movies, or any other form of entertainment. Gunther mentioned that he prefers documentaries and historical films that focus on real events.
However, he acknowledged that despite his personal tastes, the audience’s reactions indicate a significant interest in the Wyatt Sick6 storyline. He believes the real challenge lies in maintaining the mysterious aura of the faction while making it work effectively in the ring.
Although he hasn’t paid much attention to how it’s been handled so far, Gunther is confident that if anyone can strike the right balance between the spooky elements and keeping the characters relatable, it would be Triple H. He expressed his hopes for the faction’s success and his interest in seeing how the storyline unfolds.
“First of all, everything, it’s not just wrestling, it’s also movies, like the genre, everything that has to do with spooky stuff or ghosts, or supernatural, that’s not my taste at all. I’m more documentary guy, I love history, and I like movies about a topic or happenings that really happened. So it’s hard to judge when it’s not your taste, but by the reactions of our audience, obviously, there’s a big interest in it. I feel like the big challenge is always getting that in the ring and keep the mysterious aura around it but also making it work. But I haven’t paid too much attention to it right now, how it’s handled, but I would think if there’s somebody that can make it work and have the right dose of the spooky stuff and then the guys still being real [people], I think Hunter will have a good hand on that, on managing that. I wish for it to be a success, so let’s see. I’m very interested how it’s gonna play out.”
Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see how WWE will continue to build the Wyatt Sicks in the coming weeks, as it is quite clear a lot of love and attention is being given to the angle.
