AEW has signed numerous former WWE employees, not just Superstars in the ring, but also key backstage crew members to strengthen the company. One such addition, Jen Pepperman, is receiving high praise following her transition to AEW.

Jen Pepperman and Mercedes Mone share a close professional relationship from their time in WWE, when Mone was known as Sasha Banks. It was initially assumed that Pepperman would work exclusively with Mone in AEW. While she has indeed collaborated extensively with Mone, her role extends beyond that.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter highlighted Pepperman’s performance in AEW. She is not involved in booking but is contributing as a writer and working closely with various talents on the roster. Her efforts have earned her high praise, particularly from Mark Briscoe and Will Ospreay.

“Regarding Jen Pepperman, while a lot of people think she’s booking the women’s division, she’s not head booker of anything and is Mercedes Mone’s go-to-person but she’s working with more than Mone. She’s gotten praised for her work on promos in the Mone-Britt Baker segment as well as for many other men and women, with Mark Briscoe and Will Ospreay being two of the most notable.”

Mercedes Mone is currently on television as a double champion and has a rich history in the pro wrestling business. This opens up numerous possibilities for future storylines, and Pepperman will likely continue writing her segments.

At present, Mone is feuding with Britt Baker. AEW’s resident dentist made a surprise return during Forbidden Door and appeared on the following Dynamite for a candid promo about her health issues that kept her out of the ring. It remains to be seen what will unfold next, but AEW clearly has talented minds working hard behind the scenes to produce the best show possible.
