Cody Rhodes Reveals Female SmackDown Star To Be As Strong as Brock Lesnar

Cody Rhodes claimed his destiny at WrestleMania 40 when he defeated Roman Reigns to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. En route to his monumental success, Rhodes stepped into the ring with some of the toughest in-ring competitors.

Recently, The American Nightmare compared the strength of a current female star on the roster to that of “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar, someone who he has stepped inside the ring with on multiple occasions.

In sit-down interview with Bayley on WWE’s YouTube channel, Cody Rhodes recounted a memorable experience where SmackDown star Candice LeRae suplexed him at an indie show. He also agreed with Bayley’s sentiment that LeRae is one of the most underrated stars in WWE today.

“One time, [she] suplexed me on the indies, and the joke I used to make was, the strongest two people I’ve ever been in the ring with were Brock Lesnar and Candice. She threw me through the roof.”

Candice LeRae was called up to the main roster in 2022 after three successful years in WWE NXT, where she and her partner, Indi Hartwell, won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship. However, since transitioning to the main roster, LeRae has yet to achieve significant success either as a solo competitor or in tag team matches with Hartwell.

But as Rhodes and Bayley acknowledged her as a strong athlete and an impressive in-ring performer, we will have to wait and see if that translates into the same success she tasted in NXT.
