AEW All Out 2023 was a big night for the company, as it was the first event following CM Punk’s firing. It featured a lot of surprises, which included CJ Perry’s debut at the event. However, it appears CJ Perry has confirmed that she is no longer with AEW.
Following her WWE release back in 2021, fans have always wondered if she would join her ex-husband Miro in AEW. After a long wait, CJ Perry made her debut at AEW All Out and saved Miro from Powerhouse Hobbs.
At the 2024 ESPY Awards, C.J. Perry confirmed to USA Today’s Jordan Mendoza that her tenure with AEW has come to an end. She expressed that her time with the company has concluded, noting her absence from the current AEW talent roster listed on the official website. Perry joined AEW at All Out 2023 and notably assisted Miro in securing a victory over Andrade at the promotion’s final pay-per-view of the year.
”(My) time with them has just finished.”
Looking ahead, Perry revealed that she is now free to sign with any wrestling company and is shifting her focus towards a managerial role. She expressed a strong interest in discovering new talent, nurturing their skills, and helping them achieve championship success. Perry likened her aspirations to those of legendary manager Paul Heyman, emphasizing her desire to guide and elevate wrestlers to their fullest potential.
”I’m really focused on finding talent and cultivating them and helping them become the best wrestler, champion possible. I guess you could say I want to be the Paul Heyman.”
As previously reported, CJ Perry and Miro were separating after seven years of marriage, stating that they gradually grew apart in their marriage but will remain friends afterwards. Regardless, Perry is no longer associated with AEW and she is now moving ahead in life and that’s all that matters to her.
