Chris Jericho is a master at stirring up reactions from fans, and it’s always intriguing to see just how far he’ll go to make his point. This includes paying homage to a rock band that many fans love to hate.

Chris Jericho has done several tours with Fozzy, his longtime band, and performers of his much-beloved “Judas” entrance music. So, he can carry on a conversation about rock n roll music.

During an appearance on the Big Show with Rusic & Rose, Chris Jericho was asked whether Nickelback is underrated or overrated. Jericho showed his support for the fellow Canadian performers in a big way.

“Super underrated. We toured with Nickelback, with Fozzy. I say tour, it was probably seven shows. Amazing band. It’s like going to a house party when you’re a kid and your friends have a band; it’s fun. Name five Nickelback songs, I probably couldn’t, until I saw the setlist and realized I know every single one of these songs. Every one of them. You forget how many great songs they have. They get attacked by the social media mob the same way I get attacked. Why are you getting attacked? You’re good, successful, and people like you. We did that tour, we were in Atlantic City. There might be a million people in Atlantic City, but at the arena, there were 10,000 people who love Nickelback. Isn’t that all that matters?” said Jericho.

Nickelback is still going strong, just like Chris Jericho. With no signs of retirement from either of them, it looks like fans will continue to enjoy their work for years to come.

Chris Jericho has recently shared his thoughts on retirement, and he doesn’t seem eager to call it quits, even as John Cena contemplates his own future in WWE. We’ll have to see what Jericho says next to spark a conversation, but the Learning Tree is clearly enjoying his time in AEW.
