WWE Evolution was the company’s first-ever all-female Premium Live Event, held in 2018. The event received widespread praise from fans and Superstars alike. Since then, there has been ongoing speculation about a second Evolution pay-per-view. Recently, Bayley has been advocating for its return, making a strong case for another all-female event to take place.

The first event was held at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, in Uniondale, New York. The show was headlined by Nikki Bella vs. Ronda Rousey. There were rumors the event would happen again, but that has not been the case yet.

While speaking on Cody Rhodes’ ‘What Do You Want to Talk About?’ special, Bayley was asked if she wanted to see a second Evolution event. Bayley made it clear she definitely wants it and pointed out the abundance of talent in WWE. She noted that during the first women’s event, many NXT women were showcased alongside numerous women from the past, filling the match lineup due to a smaller roster at the time.

Now, with a much larger and more diverse roster, Bayley believes it would be exciting to include women from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT in an Evolution 2 event. She mentioned the possibility of bringing in talent like Jordan Grace from NXT, and even TNA women, emphasizing the strong connections within the industry. The current roster is robust enough to support another Premium Live Event on its own, without needing to repeat the format annually. Bayley reflected on the different era of today compared to the past and expressed fondness for the matches she had at the original event, reinforcing her belief that it’s the right time for another showcase.

“Yes, why not? Like we were just saying, there are so many women. The thing about the first one was we had so many girls from NXT, for one, which they got to showcase on a bigger stage, but they had so many women from the past. It’s kind of like the first few rumbles, a lot of women from the past, because we didn’t have enough women to fill up these matches, but now we do. And I think it would be so cool to give everybody on Raw and everybody on SmackDown a part of that show, Evolution 2. You can bring girls in from NXT.

We just saw Jordan Grace on NXT. TNA girls, like whatever that connection is there, we can bring different girls in and you can bring someone in from the past if they’re up for it, to do a little something. But we have such a stacked roster right now. It’s like, we can hold down a show on our own, another PLE on our own.

It’s been so many years where it’s not like it’s something we have to do every year where we’re kind of like, ‘Alright, we’ve seen it enough times,’ but I think it’s time because it is a different era compared to back then. That was one of my favorite matches I’ve ever had on that show.”

We will have to wait and see whether Evolution 2 will become a reality somewhere down the line, as Bayley certainly made a good case as to why it should happen, especially with the current WWE women’s division being so stacked.
