AEW has seen a lot of changes in the last five years, and one of the biggest things they have implemented is undoubtedly the Blood and Guts match. In that regard, Tony Khan has now revealed if AEW will ever have a women’s Blood and Guts match.

The Blood and Guts match in the past has always been used to cap off longstanding feuds over the years. After all, fans fondly remember the matches between The Pinnacle and The Inner Circle, The Blackpool Combat Club against The Jericho Appreciation Society and others.

While speaking on the Battleground podcast, AEW President Tony Khan was asked about AEW holding a women’s Blood and Guts match. Tony Khan expressed interest in potentially introducing a women’s Blood and Guts match in the future.

Khan mentioned the success of the men’s matches and emphasized the importance of a cohesive storyline and a healthy roster. Khan noted that AEW’s women’s division is currently stronger than ever, and he’s excited about its growth. He mentioned the possibility of organizing a women’s Blood and Guts match once the roster and storyline align appropriately.

“We’ve had these great men’s Blood and Guts matches; I think they’ve been fantastic. At some point, it would be great to have a women’s Blood and Guts match. I think you need a lot of people tied into the story and a lot of healthy people. We’ve had a great roster that we’re building up, and I think our women’s roster is stronger than it’s ever been right now today, and I’m really excited about that. So, if we ever get to the point where we’ve got enough people tied together and the story makes sense, I think it would be great.”

This year’s edition of the Blood and Guts match will be taking place on July 24th, and Mark Briscoe is already part of it. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen when AEW will introduce a women’s Blood and Guts match as that would certainly be something fans want to see.
