Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay produced one of the most enthralling and exciting AEW World title matches in the history of the company at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, with Strickland emerging victorious over the Aerial Assassin.

The AEW World Champion returned on the July 10 edition of AEW Dynamite since his monumental victory to address his future going forward as the top champion of All Elite. He came back right after Bryan Danielson won the Owen Hart Foundation Cup, meaning that he is going to be Swerve’s opponent for the AEW All-In event next month.

While Swerve Strickland appreciated Bryan’s hard-fought victory, he still held a grudge over Danielson’s former win over him and a few insults for his All-In. Switching gears, the World Champion announced that he would lead the charge for Team AEW for the upcoming Blood and Guts event against The Elite.

Concluding the segment, Swerve Strickland fired shots at Will Ospreay and even challenged Elite’s Kazuchika Okada for a match while promising to make AEW All In Bryan Danielson his ‘final countdown.’
