Stephanie Vaquer Breaks Silence After CMLL Exit

Stephanie Vaquer attracted interest from both WWE and AEW after her incredible match against Mercedes Mone at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. It was then announced that she was leaving CMLL and now Vaquer has broken her silence in that regard.

On July 10th, CMLL announced that Stephanie Vaquer was no longer part of the CMLL and NJPW rosters. She vacated her CMLL Women’s Tag Team Championship and CMLL Women’s Championship, and would miss FantasticaMania. Personal reasons were cited for her departure.

Stephanie Vaquer took to Twitter and posted a statement regarding her exit, expressing gratitude towards CMLL and NJPW, and emphasizing that she was leaving on good terms. She apologized to fans for not being able to participate in upcoming shows and thanked Salvador Lutteroth for his support.

Vaquer talked about her commitment to representing Mexican wrestling wherever she goes, expressing her heartfelt appreciation for the unconditional support from her fans and colleagues.

Clarify, I AM LEAVING THROUGH THE BIG DOOR, forever grateful to the WORLD WRESTLING COUNCIL AND NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING, and in the best terms.

From today I vacate the CMLL World Women’s Championship as well as the CMLL World Women’s Couples Championship.

For which I offer an apology to the fans. For obvious reasons, I will not be present at the next shows and I hope you can understand that the terms between companies are what lead to this statement.

We have also reported that she is likely heading to WWE following her CMLL departure. Therefore, we will have to wait ad see how Stephanie Vaquer will fare in WWE, as it will give her a whole different level of exposure.
