Samoa Joe is a highly skilled and accomplished professional wrestler, who reached the top of AEW when he became the AEW World Champion. He might not be the champion now but he continues to share his wisdom on various topics. In fact, he has a unique reason for not using Twitter.

The advent of social media is truly a double-edged sword right now. While it allows fans to interact with their favorite professional wrestlers better than ever, it has also led to a lot of toxicity as well.

The Samoan Submission Machine took to Twitter and described Twitter as a platform where he often feels compelled to share unsolicited observations or bits of knowledge, only to realize they’re met with the same apathy he feels when reading others’ tweets. He added that someone inevitably corrects him on the latest terminology (“X” now), leading him to just put his phone back in his pocket, making it clear why he doesn’t use Twitter now.

”Twitter is essentially me wanting to toss out a unsolicited observation or bit of knowledge. Then realizing it will be met with as much apathy as I have when I read other tweets. Then some d****** reminds me its called “X” now… so I just put my phone back in my pocket.
