The July 10 edition of AEW Dynamite was an enthralling sight, featuring hellacious bouts, the culmination of the Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament and a huge match set for next week’s edition.

As the fans saw, AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland made his first appearance since defeating Will Ospreay at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door last week. He came out right after Bryan Danielson won the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Cup, setting up their title match for AEW All-In.

Strickland addressed his upcoming bout while also announcing his participation as the team captain for AEW at their upcoming event, Blood and Guts, in the name-sake match against The Elite.

He also made some scratching remarks against Elite’s Rainmaker and current AEW Continental Champion, Kazuchika Okada. This has now set the tone for a huge ‘Champion vs Champion’ match next week at the 250th episode of AEW Dynamite between Strickland and Okada.
