WWE went all out for its recent Premium Live Event, Money in the Bank, delivering a thrilling spectacle and they followed it up with NXT Heatwave to boot. Adding to the excitement, a TNA star was spotted backstage during NXT Heatwave.
The NXT Heatwave Premium Live Event took place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on July 7th and there were a lot of things to keep fans engaged throughout the night.
TNA Wrestling and WWE have a history of collaboration, and this partnership has been rekindled since May. Notable appearances include Jordynne Grace on NXT television, Tatum Paxley at Against All Odds, and Charlie Dempsey on TNA television.
CM Punk took to his Instagram today and uploaded several photos of himself in Toronto for Money in the Bank and NXT Heatwave. Among those photos was one he took with TNA star Santino Marella, who was also a WWE veteran for several years. His daughter Arianna Grace had a match at Heatwave, so he was likely there to support her. Punk also included photos of Roxanne Perez backstage at Heatwave.

In case you didn’t know, former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Josh Alexander was also present backstage at Money in the Bank. Regardless, NXT Heatwave will be remembered as a memorable event for good reason and that is all that matters.
