Shelton Benjamin has often left fans feeling that his true potential was never fully realized in his previous wrestling ventures. Following his release from WWE, many expected him to join AEW, but negotiations fell through. Despite this setback, Benjamin remains open to working with AEW in the future.

As mentioned previously, ongoing discussions took place between Shelton Benjamin and AEW, exploring the possibility of his appearances for the company. However, negotiations fell through and fans lost hope about him debuting in AEW.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast, Shelton Benjamin confirmed that he had brief talks with AEW but it didn’t bear fruit. Despite that, Benjamin stated that he is still open to working in AEW but also has an interest in TNA Wrestling and MLW.

“I had a brief conversation with AEW, that hasn’t really borne fruit yet. But I’m still open. TNA I haven’t spoken with yet. I’m more than willing to work with them. I haven’t talked to them. I know MLW reached out. So you know, I’ve been presented with options. I just haven’t found something that I’m satisfied with.”
