WWE Superstar Shayna Baszler is set to face a renowned international competitor at an upcoming independent event, Bloodsport XI after previously being announced to be a part of the show.

The former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett took to his X to announce that The Queen of Harts will square off against TJPW star Miyu Yamashita at his event on July 28 in Brooklyn, New York.

“Two fierce warriors of the ring,” Barnett wrote. “Two battle-hardened women with backgrounds in martial arts and pro wrestling. They will meet for the first time in the most intense event in Professional Wrestling. Miyu Yamashita’s powerful kicks will clash with the submission prowess of ‘The Queen of Spades’ Shayna Baszler at Josh Barnett’s: Bloodsport XI.”

Shayna Baszler’s participation in the event hosted by GCW was confirmed in June, following her impressive performance at the previous Bloodsport event during WrestleMania 40 weekend.

The former NXT Women’s Champion triumphed over TNA Wrestling star Masha Slamovich at that event. Moreover, Shayna Baszler will not be the only WWE name at Bloodsport XI.

RAW Superstars Brutus and Julius Creed, The Creed Brothers, are set to make their independent wrestling debuts, with their opponents yet to be revealed. Additionally, former AEW star Mike Santana will face his long-time friend Homicide and talents like ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey and Josh Barnett are scheduled to compete, making it a promising event to watch out for.
