Joe Hendry Shows Up On 7/9 WWE NXT As Trick Williams’ Mystery Partner

Say his name and he’ll appear, and it seems NXT believes in Joe Hendry. The TNA star was backstage for the July 9 episode of NXT and didn’t miss the show.

Fans quickly noticed Joe Hendry during the closing moments of Heatwave. He also appeared during a commercial for this week’s NXT episode, which aired during RAW. His presence was expected, but few thought it would go down like this.

Trick Williams cut a promo backstage just after Brooks Jensen took out Je’Von Evans. Williams said he might need a tag team partner. That is when Joe Hendry’s face appeared on the screen behind him, but Williams left without noticing it.

The main event match of the night saw Ethan Page and Shawn Spears team up to take on Trick Williams and a mystery partner. Fans saw Joe Hendry coming, and that is who showed up.

Joe Hendry received a welcoming ovation from the NXT Arena. He then joined Trick Williams as his partner in the main event match against the two heels. This was a good spot for the standout TNA Wrestling star.

We will have to see how Joe Hendry’s presence in NXT affects things. This is an interesting situation, and one that could always lead to Ethan Page returning to TNA Wrestling as NXT Champion.
