WWE has approached contracts differently since Endeavor took charge and merged the company with the UFC. While several Superstars like Drew McIntyre, Chad Gable, and Seth Rollins have signed new deals, others such as Ricochet and Becky Lynch have left. However, Finn Balor is staying put.

During an appearance on What’s The Story, Finn Balor, a member of the Judgment Day, confirmed he has signed a five-year contract extension with WWE.

Balor shared his thoughts on signing the new deal, expressing his excitement about the extension. Reflecting on his career, he recalled thinking at 20 years old that reaching 30 in the industry would be an achievement. Now in his 40s, he wondered whether WWE still wanted him to continue and how his body would hold up. After several conversations, both Balor and WWE agreed on the extension. He expressed his happiness with the outcome, noting it was a strange yet positive time for him.

“Yeah, another extension for five years. I’m super excited. You never know. I remember when I was 20 and I was like, ‘If I make it to 30 I’ll be doing well.’ Then, you’re in your 40s and I’m like, ‘Do they want me to keep doing this? Am I able to keep doing it? How is the body going to feel?’ We sat down, had a couple of conversations, and the feelings were mutual. I wanted to stay, they wanted me to stay. We hashed it out and I couldn’t be happier. It was a strange time.”

“It was six months to when my contract was coming up. I thought, ‘Is this the end of my run? Is it time to move on?’ Ten years is incredible. I lasted for six years in England and thought, ‘England is always going to be the biggest chapter of my career.’ Then I went to Japan for eight years. ‘You lasted eight years in Japan. That’s definitely going to be the main chunk of my career.’ Then, I went to WWE to see what happens, maybe last two or three years and go back to Ireland or Japan. Now, I’m ten years in with another five years to go. Fingers crossed they don’t fire me. It’s a pretty wild journey.”

Finn Balor is currently getting a lot of screen time as part of the Judgment Day stable. As a former multi-time NXT Champion and the first-ever Universal Champion, the company has been very supportive of him. He is also currently one-half of the tag team champions on RAW.
