This July 9 episode of WWE NXT presented the fallout after Heatwave. A lot happened, continuing ongoing stories. This included Brooks Jensen getting screentime without security dragging him away.
It was advertised on NXT this week that Brooks Jensen would have a sit-down meeting with NXT General Manager Ava. He’s been going through a lot in NXT after losing his tag team and being left in the dust.
Ava started their meeting by saying Brooks’ actions were out of line. He apologized, saying he got lost and out of control and wishes he could take everything back, but he can’t.
The NXT General Manager spoke about the highs and lows in NXT, and Brooks needs to push through those lows. Jensen then mentioned that he is a second-generation Superstar. His father is Bull Buchanan. Ava said she and Shawn Michaels considered releasing him but decided against it after getting some good reviews.
Ava reminded Brooks Jensen that he needs to carry himself like an NXT Superstar. The meeting ended with a handshake.
Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs were a good team, but Briggs went solo after the split. Fallon Henley also pursued her own path, leaving Jensen in his current angle.
What’s your take on Brooks Jensen’s time in NXT? Do you think his angle is innovative? Let us know in the comments section!
