The intense feud between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre reached a climax at WWE Money in the Bank 2024 after fans anticipated Punk’s interference for weeks. Despite that, McIntyre won the coveted Money in the Bank contract at the start of the show.
Later, in a triple threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship as a result of his cash-in, CM Punk emerged from under the ring and laid a massive beatdown on The Scottish Warrior.
This allowed Damian Priest to recover and retain his title with a South of Heaven Chokeslam planted on McIntyre, much to the delight of CM Punk. However, as The Best in the World was exiting ringside, a video obtained by Ringside News showed him attacking WWE referees at ringside, apparently for no reason, in a hilarious act.
On the other hand, CM Punk’s actions cost Drew McIntyre another chance at the championship, adding fuel to their fierce rivalry while being punished by RAW GM Adam Pearce for the events that went down.
Fans are now eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this heated saga, which could lead to a one-on-one match between the fierce rivals as soon as Punk gets medical clearance for his triceps injury. But it is yet to be seen if he cares to explain his actions after the World Championship came to an end in this unseen video.
