Last week was a busy week for WWE as the Money in the Bank and NXT Heatwave Premium Live Events took place on subsequent days, keeping fans engaged throughout. They even announced the Great American Bash for NXT next month but it’ll be airing on Syfy and now the reason for that move has been revealed.

As reported earlier, during NXT Heatwave, WWE announced that the 2024 Great American Bash will air on Tuesday, August 6, on Syfy and fans are definitely excited for the show.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about the reason for the Great American Bash airing on Syfy. Meltzer noted that the move was done due to the Olympics.

Meltzer pointed out how WWE moved Monday Night RAW to Syfy during the Winter Olympics. He added that this move is aimed at staging a significant show to address declining viewership numbers.

“Yeah because of the Olympics. I would think that RAW would move too because for the last Olympics, the winter Olympics, RAW moved to Syfy. So they are trying to do a big show to alleviate the low numbers.”

We will have to wait and see what WWE will have planned for the Great American Bash special episode of NXT on August 6th, as the company is truly on the hottest streak of all time right now.
