WWE has a packed schedule, and now the date for the next NXT special has been revealed. The Great American Bash is coming back to NXT, but it won’t be on the USA Network.

During NXT Heatwave, WWE announced that the 2024 Great American Bash will air on Tuesday, August 6, on Syfy, just after SummerSlam. That will be the episode after SummerSlam.

The decision to broadcast the Great American Bash on Syfy aims to attract a broader audience, since it won’t be on the usualy USA Network home. Ringside News will provide updates as more matches are announced for the event.

WWE revived The Great American Bash as an annual PPV in 2004, initially exclusive to the SmackDown brand until 2006. Renamed The Bash in 2009, it was replaced by Fatal 4-Way in 2010. The event returned in July 2012 as a special episode of SmackDown and became an annual event for WWE’s developmental brand, NXT, in July 2020. From 2020 to 2022, it aired as special episodes of NXT and transitioned to a livestreaming event in 2023.
