WWE Money in the Bank 2024 PLE witnessed a highly enthralling World Heavyweight Championship match that had its own twists and turns, and now, the outcome has a direct influence on the title match made official for their next PLE, SummerSlam.

The champion, Damian Priest, defended his coveted championship against Seth “Freakin” Rollins in a highly exhilarating showdown. However, towards the end, the match was turned into a triple threat match as Drew McIntyre cashed in his Money in the Bank contract he won earlier in the night.

As it looked like he would finally clinch the big one, his heated rival CM Punk came out of nowhere and laid a massive beatdown on The Scottish Warrior. This allowed Damian Priest to capitalize and retain his title, with Punk again costing McIntyre a chance to become the champion.

With the Judgment Day member walking out of the match still the World Heavyweight Champion, it was announced right after that he would now face the winner of the 2024 King of the Ring tournament, GUNTHER, next month at WWE SummerSlam, set to take place on August 3 at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Ohio.
