Seth Rollins and Damian Priest delivered an intense match at Money in the Bank, keeping fans in Toronto on the edge of their seats with several close near-falls. However, one two-count by the referee for Damian Priest stood out.
Attentive fans noticed that Damian Priest did not actually kick out as Seth Rollins pinned him during the match. The referee counted to two but stopped, acting as if Priest had kicked out.
Seth Rollins didn’t acknowledge the mistake and continued the match, displaying the typical shocked expression when an opponent kicks out of a signature move. The match couldn’t end there, as Drew McIntyre had yet to make his way to the ring.
Drew McIntyre, who had won the Money in the Bank contract earlier in the night, cashed in to turn the match into a triple threat. CM Punk then interfered, preventing McIntyre from winning, which necessitated Rollins and Priest to continue.
The clip clearly shows that Priest didn’t kick out. Fortunately, the match continued, as awarding Rollins the win at that moment would have resulted in a new World Heavyweight Champion and likely removed Priest from the Judgment Day faction.
