Drew McIntyre has been on an absolute tear for the past several months, still on the hunt to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. After this week’s Friday Night SmackDown, he revealed his one regret about the segment.

Jey Uso kicked off the July 5th edition of Friday Night SmackDown this week with confidence, declaring his intention to win the Money in the Bank match. Shortly after, LA Knight, Carmelo Hayes, and Andrade entered the ring. Drew McIntyre then joined, ready to stir things up.

McIntyre didn’t hold back, dubbing Andrade as “El Idiot” and expressing sympathy for Chad Gable. He informed Carmelo Hayes that he’s not “HIM,” but rather someone who looks up to “HIM.” When addressing LA Knight, the crowd erupted in “YEAH” chants. McIntyre was quick to respond, predicting that Knight would only hear “no” at Money in the Bank.

Directing his attention to Jey Uso, McIntyre delivered a personal jab, asking, “how the hell did you manage to cross the border anyway?” This remark was pointed reference to Jey Uso’s previous DUI charge from 2018, which had prevented him from traveling to Canada in the past.

Following his SmackDown segment, Drew McIntyre took to Twitter and uploaded the entire segment while taking a shot at CM Punk. Afterwards, he also stated that he had one regret about the match, which was that they did not sit on top of the ladders, something that was done in WWE several years ago as he included a photo of Chris Jericho, Dean Ambrose, Cesaro, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and Alberto Del Rio before the 2016 Money in the Bank event.

”My only regret is that we weren’t sat on ladders at the start of the show 😔”

Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether Drew McIntyre will be able to win the Money in the Bank ladder match this week and earn the chance to reclaim the WWE World Heavyweight Championship once again.
