CM Punk and Drew McIntyre’s feud is intense, with many anticipating when it will culminate in a match. Despite speculation that Punk might skip Money in the Bank after McIntyre’s brutal backstage attack in Chicago, the Second City Saint made the trip to Toronto.

CM Punk was spotted backstage at Money in the Bank, which was not unexpected. Many believed he would interfere to prevent Drew McIntyre from winning the Money in the Bank contract, but the Scottish Warrior ultimately secured the guaranteed contract.

Damian Priest held the briefcase for 281 days before cashing it in at WrestleMania. At Money in the Bank, Rollins and Priest engaged in a fierce back-and-forth match. Drew McIntyre then cashed in his briefcase, turning the bout into a triple threat.

CM Punk suddenly jumped into the ring, targeting Drew McIntyre. He attacked McIntyre with a steel chair at ringside. Since it was a triple threat, there was no disqualification. The match continued as Punk’s assault on McIntyre persisted. Punk then looked at the World Heavyweight Championship before grabbing it.

Punk re-entered the ring and struck McIntyre in the face with the title. At that moment, Damian Priest recovered and delivered a South of Heaven Chokeslam to retain the championship.

CM Punk was very pleased with himself when everything was said and done. This was quite a way for Punk to get his revenge on McIntyre.
