The pro wrestling world is full of controversy, and Tiffany Stratton recently found herself at the center of fan outrage. She posted something that many perceived as racially insensitive, and now she is speaking out about that social media blunder.

In May, Tiffany Stratton reposted a video on her Instagram showing her hitting Jade Cargill during a match, with a zoom in on Bianca Belair’s stunned reaction. She included crying laughing emojis with the video. The audio in the video featured a clip with a person saying “black bitch” accompanied by a slap sound.

The video was quickly deleted by Stratton, but not before it drew significant backlash. While speaking to Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez at WWE Money in the Bank media day, Stratton addressed the incident. She explained that it was an honest mistake and that she didn’t hear the offensive audio when she posted the video. She had it up for maybe 20 seconds before deleting it instantly once she realized the issue.

“It was an honest mistake. I didn’t hear the audio. I had it up for maybe 20 seconds and I deleted it instantly as soon as I heard the audio. It was an honest mistake.”

Stratton emphasized that it was a genuine error and expressed regret for the incident. Despite this controversy, Tiffany Stratton has a lot of potential in WWE. The former NXT Women’s Champion could become a major player in the women’s division for years to come.

It remains to be seen what Stratton will achieve in WWE, but she seems to have managed to navigate through this situation without lasting damage to her career.
