You never know who will show up before a big premium live event. With the company in Toronto for Money in the Bank, a familiar face has been seen backstage at the July 5th SmackDown show on Friday night.

A former WWE name has been spotted with Triple H ahead of tonight’s WWE SmackDown before Money in the Bank. Before tonight’s SmackDown go-home show leading into tomorrow’s WWE Money in the Bank premium live event, Triple H took to social media to share a photo from the venue.

Posting a photo of himself and former WWE referee Jimmy Korderas, Triple H wrote, “Always good to see an old friend. @jimmykorderas.” Korderas worked as a WWE referee on television, spending 22 years with the company from 1987 to 2009.

SmackDown, along with two premium live events, will take place in Toronto this weekend. On Saturday, WWE will host Money in the Bank, followed by NXT Heatwave on Sunday, July 7, also streaming on Peacock.

We will have to see if Jimmy Korderas ever makes his return to WWE television. He might throw on a referee shirt for old time’s sake. Regardless, his drop-in was a welcomed surprise.

What’s your take on Jimmy Korderas being backstage at SmackDown this week? Do you miss having him in the ring as a referee? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
