Ethan Page was removed from the AEW roster page, sparking speculation among fans about his status with the company. Ultimately, Page parted ways with AEW and made his shocking debut in NXT back in May. Interestingly enough, he has now stated that AEW is chaotic and unorganized compared to WWE.
On the May 28, 2024 edition of WWE NXT, Page surprised fans by making his debut for the company, launching an attack on NXT Champion Trick Williams. This debut followed closely after Page’s abrupt departure from AEW/ROH, where he had been a mainstay for several years.
While speaking during a recent episode of Talk’n Shop, Ethan Page talked about his initial experiences in NXT. He contrasted it with his previous environment in AEW and ROH, describing it as chaotic and unorganized, whereas NXT felt like a well-oiled machine. Despite being relatively new there, Page was grateful for the support he received, making it clear he was relieved not having to shoulder everything alone.
“Pretty crazy. I went from somewhere that was so chaotic and unorganized to a place that, I mean I’m still learning because I’m still so new here, but this is a machine and it’s incredible. It feels good to not feel like I have to do everything myself. To have people that want to see me succeed is kind of mind blowing.”
Ethan Page praised the coaches at the WWE Performance Center for their expertise, noting how they have helped him refine his skills and approach to wrestling, even after seventeen years in the industry.
“I’m seventeen years in, I still feel like — I don’t want to say the word green, but like, I’ve essentially had to do everything myself. I pretty much taught myself how to wrestle and now I’m like, oh, there’s geniuses here all day that I can be like, ‘Does this suck? Okay, well tell me how to do it better,’ and they will.”
Ethan Page is set to compete for the NXT Championship at NXT Heatwave as he faces off against Trick Williams, Shawn Spears and Je’Von Evans in a fatal four-way match. Regardless, many people will likely agree with what Page had to say about AEW and ROH.
