WWE’s Money in the Bank event is coming to fans on Saturday night. To prepare fans for the big show, they opened up this week’s SmackDown with a big promo segment.

Jey Uso opened SmackDown this week by confidently stating that he will win the Money in the Bank match. Soon after, LA Knight, Carmelo Hayes, and Andrade made their way to the ring. Drew McIntyre followed, ready to stir the pot.

McIntyre didn’t hold back, calling Andrade “El Idiot” and expressing pity for Chad Gable. He told Carmelo Hayes that he’s not “HIM,” but rather looking up at “HIM.” When McIntyre mentioned LA Knight’s name, the crowd erupted with “YEAH” chants. McIntyre was prepared for this and retorted that the only thing Knight will hear at Money in the Bank is “no.”

Turning to Jey Uso, McIntyre delivered a personal diss, asking, “how the hell did you get across the border anyway?” This was a pointed reference to Jey Uso’s past DUI charge from 2018, which had previously prevented him from traveling to Canada.

The tension in the ring escalated into a brawl, ending the opening segment on a high note. McIntyre’s clever jab at Uso was appreciated by fans familiar with the backstory.

The anticipation for the Money in the Bank ladder match continues to build. Only time will tell who will emerge victorious in Toronto.
