Jeff Jarrett has been part of the AEW family for a while now and he has certainly stolen the show whenever he was involved in a feud. He failed to advance in the Owen Hart Cup tournament this week on Dynamite and he ended up receiving a standing ovation as he made his way to the back.

The Owen Hart Foundation Cup has been a highlight for AEW, consistently delivering exciting matches. The July 3 edition of AEW Dynamite’s special event, Beach Break, continued this trend with a surprise twist.

As the match began, the Wild Card entry was revealed to be “Hangman” Adam Page, making his long-awaited return to AEW after being absent since March. The crowd erupted in excitement, anticipating a thrilling match between Page and Jarrett.

The bout did not disappoint, with both wrestlers showcasing their skills and determination. Adam Page reached its climax when Page executed a powerful Buckshot Lariat, followed by a Deadeye, securing the pinfall victory over Jarrett.

This was an emotional loss for Jeff Jarrett as he wanted to advance in the tournament for Owen Hart’s sake. As revealed by footage making rounds online, Jeff Jarrett received a standing ovation as well as ‘Thank You Jeff’ chants as he made his way to the back.

It was certainly not the expected outcome for Jeff Jarrett but it is likely he will bounce back soon enough. Regardless, we will have to wait and see what’s next in store for Jeff Jarrett.
