The AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view featured a host of excellent matches and memorable segments that delighted fans. Among the notable happenings, ex-WWE star Dijak was present at the event. He has now revealed the people who were behind his visit to the show.

Dijak, whose WWE contract officially expired on June 28th, announced his free agent status and hinted at a potential appearance at Forbidden Door, heightening fan anticipation.

Although he did not make an on-screen appearance, his backstage presence was confirmed. This led to some disappointment among fans who had hoped to see him in action at the event, but he was thankful to Tony Khan for having him for the event.

While speaking to Pro Wrestling Bits, Dijak was asked who invited him to Forbidden Door and whether there was an invite situation. Dijak confirmed that former WWE Superstar Mojo Rawley and his friend Steve arranged for the visit, noting that both of them have lots of connections.

Dijak was unsure if anything needed to be approved by Tony Khan specifically or if people just moved in and out freely. However, he knew that Tony Khan was aware of his interest and there was mutual respect. Dijak believed there was no issue with him being there, especially since he was friends with and had wrestled about 90% of the AEW roster. Being around the business for so long, he felt it was natural to have such connections.

Mojo [Rawley] and Steve both arranged that for me. They have great connections. Steve was there with me, so he brought me along, brought me in. I don’t know if anything needs to be approved by Tony specifically, or if they just kind of have people going in and out. But I know that Tony has been made aware of my interest, and I know that there’s reciprocal respect, if nothing else. So yeah, I don’t think there was any issue with me being back there. I would certainly hope not, considering I’m friends with and have wrestled about 90% of the roster on AEW at this point. I mean, that’s kind of just what happens when you’ve been around the business as long as I have.”

Fans are excited about the prospect of seeing him in AEW or perhaps making an appearance in TNA Wrestling soon. Regardless, we will have to wait and see what the future holds for Dijak in the end.
