During last week’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event, Chris Jericho, Big Bill, and Jeff Cobb suffered a defeat at the hands of HOOK, Samoa Joe, and Katsuyori Shibata. On the July 3 edition of AEW Beach Break, Jericho vented his frustrations on HOOK’s father, AEW commentator Taz, accusing him of biased commentary during the event.

In a shocking move, Jericho leveraged his influence to have the EVPs, The Young Bucks, escort Taz out of the commentary booth. Jericho then took Taz’s place at the desk for the scheduled trios match between Cage Of Agony (“The Machine” Brian Cage, Toa Liona, and Bishop Kaun) and the team of Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata, and HOOK.
