Last year saw the integration of WWE and UFC into the TKO umbrella, marking a significant shift in the landscape of sports entertainment. This has made other fighters from the combat sports world want to try their hand at WWE and it appears this also includes boxer Amanda Serrano.
Unified Featherweight World Champion Amanda Serrano is one of the most popular stars in women’s boxing right now. While speaking to Justin Barrasso for Sports Illustrated, Serrano expressed her interest in testing herself against the WWE women’s roster.
Amanda Serrano mentioned her nephew’s passion for WWE wrestling as a motivating factor and has been training for pro wrestling for the past five years.
“I’ve always wanted to step into WWE. My nephew’s dream is to become a WWE wrestler, and he’s the one who really got me into this.
“Testing myself in WWE, that’s something I really want to do. I have so much respect for all the pro wrestlers, especially the women on their roster.”
Serrano currently holds a 46-2-1 record in boxing with 30 knockouts and is affiliated with Most Valuable Promotions, co-founded by Jake Paul, brother of US Champion Logan Paul. Regardless, we will have to wait and see if she will end up in WWE somewhere down the line.
