The July 2nd edition of WWE NXT will deal with the fallout from last week’s show and also build towards future storylines. Naturally, fans are incredibly excited for their weekly dose of NXT action.
This week’s episode of NXT will be held at the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, FL, and will be airing live at 8 pm Eastern time slot on the USA Network and there’s a ton of action that fans can look forward to.
Michin and Jaida Parker have been locked in a rivalry for nearly a month, initially clashing over the NXT Women’s North American Championship. Both were unsuccessful in their pursuits, but tensions escalated when Parker cost Michin a title shot after losing to her. This week, they will settle their differences in a Street Fight.
Wendy Choo has returned with a more violent, dark gimmick, dominating NXT talents week after week. This week, Choo will face Carlee Bright in a singles match. New Catch Republic will compete against Hank Walker and Tank Ledger in a tag team match.
Last week, NXT General Manager Ava announced a Fatal 4-Way match for the WWE NXT Championship at Heatwave. Ahead of the match, NXT Champion Trick Williams and challengers Je’Von Evans, Ethan Page, and Shawn Spears will sign the contract for the title bout.
Roxanne Perez and Lola Vice have been teasing a feud for weeks. Two weeks ago, Perez attacked Vice after their tag team match, prompting Vice to retaliate last week by taking the WWE NXT Championship title to Ava and demanding a title shot. Ava has made the match official for Heatwave, and this week, Perez and Vice will have their final face-off before the match.
