AEW Could Be Preparing Epic Main Event for Special Edition of Dynamite

AEW is riding high after a successful Forbidden Door pay-per-view event on Sunday and is looking to maintain its momentum with this week’s episode of Dynamite. In fact, AEW is planning a very special main event for an upcoming episode of Dynamite.

Confirmed for AEW Dynamite this week are AEW International Champion Will Ospreay defending his title against Daniel Garcia, an appearance by Britt Baker, Mercedes Mone’s double title celebration, and the continuation of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Looking ahead, the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament are set to take place on the July 10th Dynamite, followed by episode 250 on July 17th. According to Andrew Zarian on Beyond the Bell, there’s buzz about a potentially huge main event planned for the special July 17th episode. Zarian cautioned that plans could change, but he hinted at a main event akin to a pay-per-view caliber match.

Exact details remain speculative, as Zarian emphasized the fluid nature of wrestling plans, but excitement is building for what could be a significant moment on Dynamite this month.

“I was told that there is a mega main event for that show. Again, I have no idea. It could be bullshit. It could change. I don’t know. When you quote me on this, you could say Andrew Zarian said this: ‘Could be b*******. It could change. I don’t know.’ But I was told that show will have a huge main event……But I was told that they’re going to have a huge pay-per-view level main event. That’s how it was said to me. Okay, so I don’t know what that means. I don’t know who it could be. I don’t know if it’s something else. I don’t know.”

We will have to wait and see what kind of epic main event AEW could be planning for the July 17th edition of Dynamite, as fans feel the company definitely has to meet expectations now.
