WWE has employed many names in the industry outside the pro wrestling ring and that includes the legendary Tony Chimel. With that said, Chimel has now called out WWE for using his voice despite firing him.

Chimel began his career with WWE as a ring technician before becoming an announcer in 1991, eventually rising up to become the voice of Friday Night SmackDown. However, he was released by WWE in 2020, shocking fans in a big way.

The former WWE announcer took to Twitter and made it clear that he found it odd how despite firing him years ago, WWE is still using his voice in shows, calling WWE out in the process.

Tony Chimel then suggested that WWE should order a Vimeo of him if they want to hear the live version, making it clear he wasn’t happy about what WWE has been doing.

”I find it odd that I was let go by @WWE years ago , yet they still use my voice at shows . Maybe order a Chimeo if you want a live version .”

Tony Chimel also made it clear he isn’t a fan of the WWE Hall of Fame and criticized it for being a money-making scheme. Regardless, we’ll have to see if WWE will stop using his voice soon enough.
