Shelton Benjamin has long been seen by fans as a talent whose true potential wasn’t fully tapped during his previous stints. After being released from WWE last year, Benjamin has now revealed that he is utterly disgusted by an old segment of his, which was racist.

Numerous segments from WWE’s past have resurfaced online in recent years, with many feeling incredibly outdated. One such segment re-emerged on Twitter recently, marking the 15th anniversary of former WWE star Yoshi Tatsu’s debut on the ECW brand, where he faced off against Shelton Benjamin.

Reacting to the segment on Twitter, which featured Benjamin cutting a promo in a mocking Japanese accent, Shelton identified it as the one thing in his career he would erase, expressing disgust at the “racist s**t.”

”If I could erase one thing in my career this is it. I’m completely and utterly disgusted by this racist s***. I’m glad the ending was my character getting kicked in the head and losing #racismsucks”

Shelton Benjamin also made it clear he doesn’t rule out making a return to WWE one day. Regardless, such segments are a thing of the past and in this day and age, they simply do not belong and Benjamin understands that well.
