Ricochet’s tenure with WWE has come to an end.

According to Fightful Select, Ricochet’s contract was set to expire, and we can now confirm that as of midnight on July 1, his deal with the company officially expired. WWE had already moved him to their alumni section on June 30, just hours before his contract ended. Due to this, he was not contractually able to appear at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door show.

Sources within both WWE and AEW anticipate that Ricochet will join AEW. However, despite the widespread speculation, it’s being said that Ricochet was not planned to face Will Ospreay at the upcoming All In event, at least not as of recent weeks.

Ricochet was written off WWE television by Bron Breakker several weeks ago, and he has not been used in any subsequent TV tapings. This move further fueled rumors about his departure and potential future in AEW.
