The Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks rivalry took an unexpected turn Friday night at WWE Smackdown. During the match, Haliburton, wearing a “Tyrese 3:17” shirt, which was a nod to Stone Cold Steve Austin’s famous saying and the Indianapolis area code. He had a heated encounter with Knicks star Jalen Brunson, who was seated ringside in MSG. Haliburton donned brass knuckles, prompting Brunson to jump the barrier and confront him, leading to WWE officials intervening to separate the two NBA All-Stars.

PW Insider reported that WWE sees potential for more involvement from these NBA stars on future shows. They certainly seemed to leave things open to continue their beef.
