At the 2024 AEW Forbidden Door, Mercedes Moné triumphed over Stephanie Vaquer in a Winner Takes All match, claiming both the AEW TBS Championship and the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship.
However, The CEO’s celebration was short-lived with the shocking return of Dr Britt Baker, D.M.D, signalling her intent to challenge the newly crowned double champion in the future.
Baker, who has been absent from the ring since her September 16, 2023, loss to Kris Statlander for the AEW TBS Title on AEW Collision, is back and ready for action. Moreover, AEW President and CEO Tony Khan took to his X to welcome back Britt Baker and announced her appearance for the upcoming edition of AEW Dynamite in Chicago.

On the other hand, the new double champion, Mercedes Moné, did not take kindly to Britt Baker’s interruption at Forbidden Door. This could possibly be hinting at an intense rivalry between The Doctor and The CEO for championship gold on the horizon as AEW fans were enthralled to see her back.
