Shinsuke Nakamura, who has been part of WWE for more than eight years since his move from NJPW to the USA, surprised fans with an appearance as a cornerman at UFC 303 this week.

It was previously announced that Shinsuke Nakamura would be in Tsuruya Rei’s corner for his fight against Carlos Hernandez at UFC 303 on June 29 in Las Vegas. The event’s main attraction would be the headline bout between Alex Pereira and Jiří Procházka.

During UFC 303 at the T-Mobile Arena in Nevada, Shinsuke Nakamura appeared in Rei Tsuruya’s corner as expected before his afternoon fight. Nakamura’s presence seemed to bring luck, as Tsuruya went on to defeat Carlos Hernandez, preserving his undefeated MMA record at 10-0-0.

Shinsuke Nakamura last appeared in in-ring action on WWE television on April 22, where he was defeated by Sheamus. However, he remains active at house shows, regularly competing in title matches against Cody Rhodes.

WWE and UFC working under the TKO umbrella has already let to a ton of interesting changes and crossovers that were once thought to be impossible. Regardless, we will have to wait and see if any other WWE Superstar will make an appearance at a UFC event in the future.
