Donovan Dijak had a memorable run in NXT last year, but his transition to the main roster was cut short following the WWE Draft. Now officially a free agent after parting ways with WWE, he has addressed his interest in joining TNA Wrestling.
Dijak’s contract was set to expire this month with no signs of renewal, and that has proven accurate. Dijak confirmed that June 28th was his final day under contract with WWE, after which he would become a free agent.
While speaking to Joe Lowry, Dijak mentioned his interest in potentially appearing on TNA Wrestling, expressing his eagerness for the opportunity. He stated that he has communicated this to them and received a positive response so far.
Dijak clarified that these discussions are not contract negotiations and involve friends who are involved in such decisions. Dijak noted that many companies outside of WWE utilize unsigned independent talent, allowing him the freedom to appear in various places.
‘I think I could very well show up on TNA, and I’d love the opportunity to show up on TNA. I’ve expressed that to them as well, and so far they seem receptive to it. Again, these aren’t contract negotiations; it’s just me speaking with friends who have involvement in those sorts of decisions. A lot of these companies, you’ve got to remember, a lot of these companies outside of WWE use unsigned independent contracted talent, so I can show up anywhere.'”
Dijak also made his first pro wrestling appearance after his WWE exit and even teased making an appearance at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see if he will make his way to TNA Wrestling eventually.
