AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door is AEW’s next major pay-per-view and the company is making sure the show will be one that fans wouldn’t want to miss by having an incredibly stacked card for the event.
AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door is set to take place on June 30th in the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York. The Zero Hour pre-show begins at 6:30 PM ET and the main show will begin at 8 PM ET. Fans all over the world can watch the event on Bleacher Report and TrillerTV.
The Forbidden Door swings wide open as All Elite Wrestling (AEW) collaborates with multiple promotions in New York on Sunday. AEW and NJPW are co-promoting their third annual Forbidden Door pay-per-view, featuring talent from Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre and World Wonder Ring Stardom.
The main event of Sunday’s card will showcase a champion vs. champion showdown, as Swerve Strickland defends the AEW World Championship against reigning AEW International Champion Will Ospreay.
Other notable matches at Forbidden Door include Bryan Danielson and Saraya competing in the men’s and women’s Owen Hart Cup tournaments respectively. Additionally, there will be a winner-takes-all title match pitting AEW’s Mercedes Mone against NJPW Strong Champion Stephanie Vaquer.
MJF returns to his hometown of Long Island, Jon Moxley defends the IWGP World Title, and Japanese legends Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi will face off on opposite sides of a trios match.
