AEW had Paige VanZant on their roster for a short while, but she didn’t do much with the company. She stayed on their roster for a long time, even after she decided pro wrestling wasn’t for her. Now, she has embarked into a new realm of combat sports, one that has gone viral over the past few years.
Former UFC fighter and AEW wrestler Paige VanZant was victorious in her Power Slap debut, defeating Christine Wolmarans by decision. This marked a positive debut for her in the controversial Power Slap world.
VanZant never seemed troubled by the slaps of Wolmarans in the three-round matchup. PVZ wobbled and dropped Wolmarans with her slaps across the three rounds to pick up the unanimous decision victory.
VanZant’s one and only match for All Elite Wrestling came at Double or Nothing 2022. At the event, she, Ethan Page, and Scorpio Sky defeated Tay Melo, Sammy Guevara, and Frankie Kazarian. She then decided that pro wrestling wasn’t for her. Instead, Paige focused on her NSFW content, where she is still raking in tons of money each month on that premium content.
Many fans have criticized Power Slap for being a magnet for concussions. Plenty of memes and videos have been created since the company started, all showing fighters getting KOed in brutal fashion. Thankfully, PVZ was able to avoid such an embarrassing debut.
