AEW has several stars waiting for their return, and it appears that Adam “Hangman” Page is on his way back. This will mark the end of a long wait for the former AEW World Champion, a return eagerly anticipated by many fans.
A video aired on Collision showed Page walking around his house, interspersed with footage of Swerve Strickland invading Page’s home. The video also included an announcement from The Young Bucks that Page had been suspended from The Elite. The vignette concluded with Page walking out of his house.
Page has been off television since March when he lost a three-way match involving himself, Samoa Joe, and Strickland at Revolution. This match was for the AEW World title. Page and Strickland have had a feud since last year, with their last singles match ending in a time limit draw.
After the Revolution event, The Young Bucks made significant changes to The Elite. They announced the firing of Kenny Omega and the suspension of Adam Page. Since then, Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry have joined the group as new members.
On Dynamite this past Wednesday, The Young Bucks introduced their ‘wild card’ pick for the Owen Hart Foundation tournament. Their chosen competitor will face Jeff Jarrett in a quarterfinal match this Wednesday.
Page’s last match was on March 3, 2024, at AEW Revolution, where Samoa Joe retained the AEW World Title in a three-way match against Page and Strickland.
It was reported that Adam Page is preparing for his return to the ring. After a few months off, it looks like Hangman is ready to ride again.
