Mercedes Mone Labels Mariah May As ‘One Of The Greatest’ Women’s Wrestlers in AEW

Mariah May has been making waves in AEW’s women’s division thanks to her intricate storyline with Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa over the past several weeks. May’s in-ring skills are undeniable and it appears even Mercedes Mone believes May is one of the greatest women’s wrestlers in AEW.

While speaking on the Superstar Crossover podcast with Z100’s Josh Martinez, Mercedes Mone praised Skye Blue for her dedication and hard work in AEW. She focused on how Skye Blue consistently goes above and beyond whenever called upon.

“Skye Blue, working her butt off every single week. Anything that’s asked of her, she does, and more for the women in the locker room.”

Mercedes also commended Mariah May, noting her remarkable journey from being a super fan to becoming one of the top women on the AEW roster. Mercedes recounted how Mariah took the initiative to travel to Japan, join STARDOM, and hone her skills. Now, she is recognized as one of the best talents they have.

“Mariah May used to be just a super fan. [She] took her butt, flew herself to Japan, went to STARDOM to learn and now, she’s just one of the greatest that we have on the roster,” Mercedes said. “So, it’s just top to bottom [great]. These are all girls I’ve never wrestled with before. I just want them to have the brightest light and the brightest opportunity to show how great they are.”

Mariah May is set to be a huge factor in Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa’s AEW Women’s Championship match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, so we’ll have to see how the storyline will end at the show.
