Former WWE Star Expresses Desire to Work in AEW

During the company’s slew of releases back in September last year, Mace and Mansoor were handed their release. Several months removed from their WWE release, the duo have been on a tear all over the world. Interestingly enough, Mace has now expressed an interest in working with AEW.

During the Inside MxM Twitch stream with Mason Madden & Mansoor, when a viewer donated to ask what pitch they would make for AEW right now, Mason Madden shared his thoughts.

Madden expressed his belief that AEW already boasts “excellent talent who have excellent matches”. His pitch would emphasize the development of tremendous character work, akin to ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm. He pointed out that MxM could effectively fill roles as compelling characters both in the ring and in pre-taped segments.

“I would love to be able to try and do something like that in AEW if given the creative freedom and the opportunity.”

We have also reported that MxM were spotted backstage at AEW Collision recently and that they have been in discussions with AEW and Ring of Honor in recent weeks. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether the former WWE tag team will make their way to AEW somewhere down the line.
