Dijak had a stellar run in NXT last year; however, his move to the main roster fell short of expectations and he will be leaving WWE this week as well. In response to this development, he has disclosed his lack of interest in renegotiating a new deal with WWE.
Dijak’s contract was set to expire this month with no signs of renewal, and that has proven accurate. Dijak has confirmed that June 28th will be his final day under contract with WWE, after which he will become a free agent.
Ahead of his WWE departure, Dijak appeared on Twitch with Mace and Mansoor. He shared his thoughts on the possibility of a new WWE offer and made it clear he would not be very interested in listening to a WWE offer simply by the nature of a WWE contract.
“I guess if they wanted to make me an offer right now, they could. At this point, I’m not terribly interested in listening to it, just by the nature of a WWE contract. They can hire you and release you for no reason. They could pull a fast one on me. ‘You’re re-hired. Just kidding. You’re fired.”
When Mansoor asked if he would return to WWE if offered a run with the WWE Speed Championship, Dijak made it clear he had no intention of going back to WWE for that title. He added that if WWE came to him with huge numbers or some promises, he would consider getting it all in writing.
“No. If they came to me with some massive number or some promises or something like that. At this point, I would consider getting it in writing.”
We have also given a backstage update on Dijak’s WWE departure. Even Dijak exposed the significant cuts WWE took from his Cameo earnings, so we will have to wait and see what the future holds for Dijak.
