Vince Russo believes that former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon played a significant role in Bray Wyatt’s WWE career not fully realizing its potential and even accused McMahon of hurting his creativity due to an inferiority complex.

Long before his passing, Bray Wyatt, known for creating unconventional characters was unexpectedly released from WWE in 2021. Despite returning under Triple H’s regime later on, Wyatt faced challenges getting back into significant storylines.

While speaking on the Wrestling Outlaws podcast, Vince Russo stated that McMahon may not have fully grasped Wyatt’s creative ideas and likened him to ECW legend Raven, known for his innovative storytelling. He then accused Vince McMahon of hurting Wyatt’s creativity due to an inferiority complex.

“You know, Vince (McMahon) didn’t get a lot of things. I guarantee you like, Vince, watching that Firefly Fun House, did not understand that like whatsoever… It’s almost like the Raven effect. Raven you know, was almost so creative, that it hurt him. Because bro what happens is when you are that creative, and you start talking to a non-creative person and you are laying all these ideas on him, here’s what happens. They get totally lost. And now they feel inferior.”

WWE also put Wyatt on Legends contract, securing the future of his children. Wyatt will forever remain in the hearts and minds of family and fans alike and that will never change, but many still feel he could have accomplished so much more in the business.
