Tony Schiavone has been a stalwart in Tony Khan’s company since its inception, fulfilling roles as a commentator and occasional announcer. However, he disappeared during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite and has now revealed the reason for his disappearance.

When the June 26th edition of AEW Dynamite began, Tony Schiavone was on commentary alongside his usual partners, Excalibur and Taz. However, after a commercial break, Schiavone was no longer at the desk. Excalibur mentioned that he would be returning, but Schiavone did not come back for the rest of the broadcast, leaving fans curious about his absence.

Tony Schiavone took to Twitter and revealed why he had to leave AEW Dynamite, stating that he lost his voice and that it was giving him trouble all weekend.

“Lost my voice. It was giving me problems all weekend. Thanks for asking.”
