Dakota Kai has consistently shown off her intelligence and charisma on WWE’s television programs, especially as a member of the Damage CTRL faction and that’s helped her get a solid following. It seems she is actively making a case for herself to receive a singles opportunity at a WWE Premium Live Event.
During a recent Twitch stream, Dakota Kai passionately advocated for more singles opportunities on the main roster. Reflecting on her experience as a former Women’s Tag Team Champion in WWE NXT, she expressed a strong desire to showcase her skills on a larger stage, specifically at a WWE Premium Live Event.
“I’ve never had an opportunity as a singles competitor on a PLE. I’m not talking about NXT. You know what I mean… I’m getting like, ugh. You know that feeling where you’re like [bangs the desk], ‘Give me an opportunity, please, anything.’ I’m crying. I’m crying because I’m so emotional about this [laughs.] No, it’s my allergies. I’m not actually crying. But seriously, come on now, get behind me, bro.”
Since her official call-up, Dakota Kai has participated in six Premium Live Events. Contrary to her hopes expressed on Twitch, she has yet to receive a singles opportunity to showcase her skills. Instead, Kai has been involved in tag-team matches alongside IYO SKY, competed in six-woman tag matches with Damage CTRL, and participated in the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match
Dakota Kai has an opportunity to get her first appearance as a singles star at a Premium Live Event, as she is set to square off against Zoey Stark and Ivy Nile in a triple threat Money In The Bank qualifying match on next week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see if she will be able to pick up the huge win and book her spot at Money In The Bank.
